2026 LGA Annual President’s Letter
Welcome to the 68th year of the Lake Gorham Association! As LGA President, I wish everyone a Happy and healthy New Year. It’s time to catch up on some things…
As a homeowner within the original ‘Holiday Haven Acres’ development, you are automatically a member of the Lake Gorham Association. For those of you who are NEW to the neighborhood & the LGA, WELCOME! You belong to a caring, volunteering, and generous group!
The LGA was created to manage the upkeep of the three properties which are owned-in-common with all members of the LGA; 1st Beach, 2nd Beach and the Park/Playground. As co-owners, we are all responsible for the care of these areas, and for keeping them as safe and enjoyable as possible, while respecting the concerns of all. The LGA Executive Board & Directors join with other volunteers to help keep the maintenance of our common properties as community managed as possible (and our maintenance fees reasonable). We are built on volunteerism, and our common areas survive because of it. Thanks to all who give of their time to make our community a beautiful spot to raise our families and enjoy our lives.
Our by-laws specify we hold four general meetings per year and require a ‘quorum’ at meetings to vote changes to the by-laws (check our website www.lgassociation.org for more details).
In 2026, the LGA meeting schedule is:
May 17 ~~~ June 28 ~~~ July 19 – Annual Meeting ~~~ August 16
All general LGA meetings are held on a Sunday at 1PM in the park. Come join us – we look forward to seeing you there!
