The LGA was formed on August 14, 1958 for “the provision and care of walks, parks and commons, and to protect and maintain the two beaches and playground and the interests of all of the property owners of the Lake Gorham Association”. We thank the founding members of the LGA for their dedicated work in establishing our organization.

Today we see the fourth and fifth generation of families enjoying our amenities along with the many new families who recently moved into our area.
Gorham Pond spans 97 acres with an average depth of 8 feet and a maximum depth of 15 feet. It is a productive warm water fishing destination managed with species like largemouth bass, eastern chain pickerel, brown bullhead, white perch, American eel, and yellow perch. Personal watercraft (skicraft) are strictly banned on Gorham Pond under New Hampshire RSA 270:74-a (in effect since December 31, 1989) to preserve its quiet, calm atmosphere. Access is available via a public concrete boat ramp and shorebank access located off Gorham Pond Road.
The camp on the western shore of Lake Gorham (across the pond) is a privately owned 5-acre parcel owned by one of the families who donated much of the conservation land surrounding the pond. Thank you to this family for that very generous donation!
The official ‘plat’ name for our neighborhood is “Holiday Haven Acres”. (Only some lots along the shore, most near the public boat ramp, were established earlier, without the deeded “Holiday Haven Acres”/LGA rights to the common properties.)
We also thank the many volunteers who work countless hours maintaining the properties of the LGA. Without their dedication and love of the area, others may never know the area’s true beauty. Our members continue to protect and enjoy Gorham Pond. Please take a few minutes to visit our other pages to become more familiar with our organization.
